QPR lands Cisse from Lazio

01/31/2012 - London, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - French striker Djibril Cisse will return to the English Premier League after completing a move from Lazio to QPR on Tuesday.

The London club confirmed that the former Liverpool and Sunderland forward has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at Loftus Road for an undisclosed fee.

"I rate Djibril very, very highly," said QPR manager Mark Hughes. "I've watched him for many years and have always been impressed by what he brings to the table. He's a huge threat to opposition's defenses. He's got great pace, power and movement and that's something we'll hopefully benefit from."

Cisse, 30, becomes the fourth signing of the Hughes era at QPR, as Taye Taiwo, Nedum Onuoha, and Samba Diakite have all made the switch to Loftus Road this month.

In addition to his Premier League experience, Cisse has also enjoyed stints at Auxerre, Marseille, and Panathinaikos.
