The Ukrainian Stakhovsky handled 12th-seeded Dutchman Thiemo De Bakker 6-3, 6-4 at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale. De Bakker was unable to break Stakhovsky's formidable serve on Day 6 here.
Stakhovsky's opponent in Saturday's final will be 10th-seeded Serb Viktor Troicki or 15th-seeded Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan.
The 24-year-old 6-foot-4 Stakhovsky, who upended top-seeded Marcos Baghdatis here on Thursday, will appear in his fourth career final, including his second of 2010. He titled in Den Bosch earlier this season and has yet to lose in a title tilt in his career (3-0).
The 2010 Pilot Pen champion will collect $93,630.
